What personal data is processed when you use PetBondly, why, for how long, and how you can exercise your rights.

This policy has been prepared under Turkey's Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 ("KVKK") and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR").

Data controller

What data we process

  • Account details: Your name, email address and an irreversibly hashed version of your password.
  • Pet profile details: Information you add, such as your pet's name, species, breed, date of birth or estimated age, sex and weight records.
  • Preferences: Your language preference and your cookie choice.
  • Technical records: Server records needed to run the service securely, such as session information, IP address and browser details.

Pet profile details belong only to you and are never shown to other users.

Why we process data

  • To create your account and keep you signed in,
  • To show you your pet profiles, life stage calculations and weight history,
  • To keep the service secure and prevent misuse,
  • To meet legal obligations.

Data is processed on the basis of entering into and performing a contract (account and profile services), our legitimate interests (security and improving the service), legal obligations and, where needed, your consent (optional cookies).

Sharing

Your data is never sold. It may be shared, only as far as necessary, with providers we use to run the service, such as hosting, database and email delivery. Our main providers are Vercel Inc. (hosting, USA), Supabase Inc. (database, servers outside Turkey) Resend (email delivery, servers outside Turkey) and İsimtescil (domain and mailbox, Turkey). Transfers to providers abroad follow the cross-border transfer rules of Article 9 of the KVKK and, where applicable, the GDPR.

Retention

Account and pet profile details are kept while your account is open. When you delete your account, this information is deleted or anonymized, subject to any legal retention duties. Technical records are kept for a limited period for security purposes.

Your rights

Under Article 11 of the KVKK and, where applicable, the GDPR, you have the right to find out whether your data is processed, request information, ask for correction or deletion, object to processing, receive a copy of your data and withdraw your consent. Send your requests to info@petbondly.com; we reply within 30 days at the latest. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the relevant data protection authority.

Children

PetBondly accounts are designed for adult users. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes

When we update this policy we refresh the date at the top of the page and announce important changes on the site.
