Birth – 1 yearsIn their first year, cockatiels bond with their people and learn sounds and routines. A calm start, a reassuring routine and a varied diet are the foundations of this stage.

1 years – 13 yearsBetween 1 and 13 years, cockatiels enjoy long, social adult years. Daily interaction, flying, enrichment and a varied diet are the foundation of this stage.

Senior
13 years and olderCockatiels are considered seniors from about 13 years of age, and many live for many more years. Lower perches, easy access, a calm setting and close monitoring make this stage more comfortable.
